About Me

What do you say when you are creating a website. I guess you introduce yourself, so here goes.

I am Eric Clements. To describe myself I have to start with the fact I am a Christian. I am in the process, as I always will be, of letting God, through His grace, transform me into the person He wants me to be. I am truly blessed to have been married for over 17 years and I look forward to many, many more years with my wife. I have two sons who are amazing gifts from God.

Professionally I am a Marital and Family Therapist in the Tulsa area. I have a Bachelor of Christian Education degree from Ozark Christian College and a Master of Science degree in Marital and Family Therapy from Oklahoma Baptist University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist in Oklahoma. I have worked at Christian Family Institute for eight years now. Previous to that I worked at Christian Family Counseling Center in Lawton. One of my primary goals as a therapist is to help people allow God’s grace to inform all of their relationships, including the relationship with themselves.

I work with a wide variety of issues. I do a lot of work with individuals including depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, obsessive-compulsive disorder, sexual/ pornography/ internet addiction and more. Marital therapy is also a significant part of my practice. I have helped couples with communication, conflict management, affair recovery, sexual issues, blended family issues, and family of origin issues. I particularly enjoy Pre-Marital therapy. I truly enjoy the chance to do preventative and even enhancement work with these couples. Family therapy is another portion of my work. My work with children is heavily influenced by the family systems school of therapy.
